surgical menopause  | |  I am looking for anyone else that is going through or has gone through surgical menopause..
In september I had to have a hysteroctomy due to several complications. I am doing fairly well considering I am not on any medication except for bladder control.
i do get hot sweats often.
what else should i be expecting. they stated in a year the left(only overy would die off in a year) and then what?
I feel like less of a woman now because of the surgery. what should i be expecting?

| | | 2. 4MYGIRLS (5062) | 3 years ago |  wow you are so lucky i guess. you are only 2 yrs older than me and my doctor won't do a hyst on me. she says i am to young. i have several complications also. i have a fibroid in the myometrium(middle lining) of my uterus which is not removable, endometriosis and multiple cyst on my ovaries. my doctor did put me on a medicine that stopped my periods. i went through the menopause crap. i had mood swings, hot flashes and anxiety attacks at night before falling asleep. i stopped taking the medicine because my prescription ran out and i haven't been able to get back to the doctor. did you have a complete hyst or a partial?
