Grass seed!

I threw some down to patch up some bare spots (I live in the south) and it took! What a surprise to me! But now our grass looks funny we have patches of bright green and then brown! But hey it worked. Any other suggestions to help it grow?

Thats good everytime I do that it doesnt work.LOL So I just gave up. Now keep it watered and you will have a beautiful lawn.
