For whatever reason, young people get themselves tied up in massive cell-phone bills from companies that lurk out there just waiting for you to gratify your senses as fast as possible. It's time to tell Cingular, Nextel, Sprint and the rest to go away! The best option is to get a prepaid cell number and just spend the $10 a month to keep the number alive. Virgin Mobil has a good plan. Just use it like a pager; when someone calls, tell them you'll call them right back on the nearest ground line. If you're stuck in the middle of nowhere, make the call short and sweet. My parents' ground line is through their Internet server and they pay zero long distance and zero for minutes! So what I do is call them, then they call me right back and we talk for free! Don't forget Microsoft Messenger; get a cheap webcam like the ones Creation makes and have two-way video calls for free on the Internet with someone else who has Messenger and a webcam! Don't get so addicted to chatting with your pals that you lose your mind and run up bills you will never pay! Use your head and common sense when using a cell phone.
