Hi! I have an epidemic situation on my hand and since I know
little about displays and monitors, I came here to find out if
anyone knows anything.
Basically, my situation is that I have 1 monitor at the
moment, but just saved enough for an upgrade of video card and
a monitor. My goal is to Play 360 on a computer monitor and be
able to work on my computer at the same time,using Dual
Screens. I am trying to find a partner for my Sony HDM-HS95P
19 inch that is compatible with a) doubling as a TV/Monitor
and b) LCD 17/19" (19 is preferred) c) Good Overall Performance.
Ok, I had 2 ideas in mind
1) Using a Video Card such as the eVGA Geforce 7900 GS with
Dual DVI and hook both monitors up, then buy a TV Tuner and
play Xbox 360 on one monitor while the extended desktop is free for other needs
2) Getting a Multi Media Card such as the Ati X1900 All in
Wonder that supports 2 monitors and can play 360 on it.
3) Getting a Monitor, VGA Card supports Dual,and a VGA box
So many possibities, but I am very unsure as I am not that
good at playing with monitors and displays
My current set up is
Motherboard = A8v-E Deluxe
VGA Card = Asus Powered Xtreme 6600
HDD = WD 40 GB IDE and WD 80 GB SATA
OS = Windows XP Professional
I play some games such as CS Souce and World of Warcraft BC,
but I want to be able to run some top of the line games later on in 1-2 years, maybe not at Max Resolution and
such but medium quality is ok for me.
I dont know if I provided the information needed,but I will
be sure to check back if you have any questions
