Men don't cry because they're socialized not to cry. From the time they're young, they're told that real men don't cry. Men don't show emotions (except anger). Men are tough, and crying is for girls and wusses. These ideas are shoved down their throats to the point where if they cry, they feel like they are socially unacceptable as a man. And we wonder why there is such a problem with domestic violence, with males as the main perpetrators. When we teach men that the only acceptable emotion to show is anger, why should we expect any less than violence from them? If they were allowed to let out their emotions in a more healthy way, I believe that violence rates would go down.

first of all we cry too. we just seldom show it. maybe because of our machismo. things that make us cry are the same things that make you girls cry. pain, heartache, loss of someone or tears of joy.
