No other medium is as complete as a Pencil medium. All the color tubes in the world can never do justice as that of a single and simple pencil.Of course this is my opinion.

I love the versatility of pencils, which is why I use graphite, colored and watercolor pencils for a number of my projects. I don't think I could narrow it down to one perfect medium, though, because I love how each medium lives on it's on and works well with others in mixed media pieces.

You are so right, the pencil is the ultimate drawing tool.One can go from the most basic sketch(even scribbly ones) through cartoons and caricatures,to the most photographically real drawings, using just one simple pencil.My personal choice is HB;not too hard and not too soft just right!
