What about Nan??

I have never tried making Nan, but I do know that sometimes Asian gorcery stores have it in the freezer section. You can just pop it in the oven, and Presto! Nan for your vindaloo. While you are at it, some Lassi might be nice too.
So, can I come over for dinner?:-)

I'm sure there are a ton of recipes out there if you just do a google search. I've never made Nan myself, but I've seen it made at restaurants a few times. I think that part of the reason it is so good is because a lot of places good it in the same special oven that the tandoori foods are cooked in. I think it is a clay oven, but I wouldn't quote me on that one.

The good news is that most of these recipes I found say that you can make it in a home oven as long as you have the heat really high. The ingredients seem similar to pizza dough and not too difficult. I would definately give it a shot if I were you. Fresh nan is really better than the packaged stuff. Perhaps I will try making it mylsef someday.

naan is an asian food. it is simple to make at home.
it contains all purpose flour,yeast,sugar, salt..make a dough with all these things by adding some water and keep for 2 hrs. then take some dough and flatten with hand or something else and grill both sides for few minutes .
