i'm from the motherland of mahatma gandhi..No one can be like mahatma....others can pretend to be mahatma,but they cant live the life like mahatma...He s the god of non violence...But we shuld appreciate madonna's effort...

i am from India too , and i agree that no one can ever match to go near gandhi, yes i think we all need to appretiate madonnas effort and we also should try to follow gandhis foot steps, what do you say?

even though it sounds very odd to hear Madonna say this, considering her earlier years; it is still a good thing.
everyone should strive to better themselves and the world around them...and it sounds like she has taken steps towards doing just that.
someone with her world wide renown and popularity among mid-agers thru pre-teens could have quite an impact.

Yeah, I read that and started a discussion on it, too. She said she wanted to be like Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and John Lennon!
Well, she's 48 years old and hasn't started yet, she's got a long way to go! Gandhi founded a country, what's Madonna going to do to compare with that?
