1. missinghim (915) | 3 years ago | I think that I like charcoal better. I like the taste of it better. I put wood chips in there to keep the flames burning. I also like playing with the coals (stoking the flames)... just gives me something to do - keeps me busy.

howard96h (5694) | 3 years ago | They say the taste and smell is better. Thanks.

design (659) | 3 years ago | Have to agree with missinghim, charcoal definitely is the best, would like to know why all the large fancy looking ones are only gas and not charcoal, the charcoal ones here are quite small and just don't stand up to long in the wind.

2. LouiseK (782) | 3 years ago | I love to BBQ with a gas grill. It is very easy to do, you do not have to wait for the coals to get hot enough! You just turn it on and a minute later your grilling!
There is no messy clean up as far as getting rid of the burnt coals and ashes.

howard96h (5694) | 3 years ago | Clean up must be easier but do you miss the smell of a charcoal BBQ?

|
LouiseK (782) | 3 years ago | I love the way that food cooking on the grill smells. I missed it in the begining. Not anymore.

7. fjaril (4167) | 3 years ago | Charcoal is the method here at my home( yikes!!) OUR Home. I think I have hear alot about gas in the last 2 years from my dearest and I think it may happen next summer. I would like another year out of the grill we have.. after all, I am the one that cleans it and I love the smell and I do the cooking on it.. and I will NOT have the last say.
Well yes I will, to save my dignity, but it will be AFTER the gas grill gets here. LOL Okej, Howard, put me down for one of each! You ARE keeping score, right? Howard?

8. tsgirl01 (466) | 3 years ago | I prefer charcoal. The food tastes better and I am afraid of gas. It just seems dangerous. I love the smell of a charcoal grill, it is easy to start the fire and I like to see the charcoal start turning orange.

10. cheongyc (2060) | 2 years ago | I prefer charcoal. I think it's just different from using gas. The food smells better. Could be due to the extra ingredients from the ash LoL.

cheongyc (2060) | 2 years ago | It's really a fun activity. I miss the barbecue a lot! Although it's not much a problem to organize one here in this sub-urban area, but still I seldom having one here, because most of my friends are not so enthusiastic about it. May be I should go coaxing them to setup a great one, by the beach or in the front yard. LoL.
