I've been thinking about my childhood. I read A LOT when I was a kid. My favorite books were the Babysitter's Club and Goosebumps. What is your favorite children's book or children's book series?
Also, springtime is coming up, which (if you're in college or not) means spring break. What light reading would you all recommend? Thanks.

Growing up, I always enjoyed the Trixie Belden series. Mystery type stories with a group of teenage 'detectives'. I also liked the ones that had Alfred Hitchcock and the 3 detectives. I can't remember the exact title, tho. Oh, and the Bobbsey Twins.

I've never heard of any of them, but I have heard my mom allude to the Bobbsey Twins. Are they from the 50's or 60's? Don't take offense, I'm not calling you old, I'm just wondering.

Even though I am an adult, I enjoy reading juvenile or young adult literature books. The amount of titles published in this genre has been increasing and the quality of materials are amazing. From books about real-life issues to historical novels, science fiction to sports-related stories, there are numerous books written that are designed to attract the young ones and the young at heart.
However, since I'm more inclined towards action-adventure series with a touch of magic, my recommendations would include the Harry Potter series, the Artemis Fowl series, the Chronicles of Narnia series and the Black Cauldron series. But do not limit yourself with these choices and explore the many wonderful writers that are available for all of us, whether you are sixteen or sixty.

My favorite childhood book was easily Goodnight Moon. My mom read that book to me every single night before I went to bed and it never got old. Then when I got older it was Goosebumps like almost every other kid my age.
As for a recommendation, I would recommmend Atonement by Ian McEwan. It's a relatively short book but it's amazing in my opinion. You should definitely check it out.
