Whether because of religion or just because, do you set aside a day to just do nothing. I don't necessarily mean just sitting around but anything unrelated to your normal work or to do something that gives you pleasure. My day is the traditional Sunday. It is in part because of the religious tradition but mostly just because it's the most convenient day. What I do depends on my mood. I might watch a few movies, spend too much time on the computer, work on some craft projects I enjoy, visit family...anything but the usual day to day. I think it's a really good way to recharge and prepare for the week ahead. Anyone else? Let's share how we spend our days off, maybe we can give each other good ideas on how to spend our time.

I usually just relax on the weekends. My day to clean my house is on Mondays after the weekend so I try to do nothing on the weekend other than to spend time with my family and not be distracted by house chores. If im having company over the weekend, I make sure I clean on Fridays. I like to spend time with the family, or get on the computer and catch up or just watch tv. I still have to cook for the family so my weekend is not completely without effort.

I still have things to do and responsibilities too but like you I try toget the bulk of the work either out of the way or prepared to be done on another day. I have my week set up so housework is divided between 5 days and errands on the 6th so that I have the 7th for relaxation.

This is completely off the original topic but wanted to say that our kids all bowled on Saturdays until this year. We decided to take them out of it because of problems with the bowling alley. It was so much fun when we went though!
