Being a journalist is not an easy job. In fact it is only for the tough ones. I've heard and read stories of journalists being harassed, embarassed, mauled at, jailed, you name it. Or worse yet, there are some being killed, apparently because of political issues. In the Philippines, there are still many unresolved cases of political killings of journalists. Does this mean suppression of the freedom of the press? I think it is. I admire those journalists who have the courage to stand up for the truth despite the threats. If you are one of them, I salute you. Keep it up.

i want to be one. i did not dream of being one when i was a child. i can barely remember that i said to my classmate on my elementary days that "you taking up journalism huh? bad idea!" yeah it seems funny to be but i want now to be a journalist. i've made up my mind and i don't want to be an ordinary journalist. i want to reveal all the secrets hidden even if my life will be at risk. there's nothing we can do for our own country than to risk our life for we can't be at peace if evil still continues to linger.
