Straps for strapless acoustic guitars?  

Really ignorant question for the musicians out there. I've played the guitar for a few years now but it's not my original instrument otherwise I'd probably already know this answer (My gut tells me the answer is nooo anyway). :P

Anyway, is there any way to make a shoulder strap work on a cheap acoustic guitar that doesn't have those knobs for the strap? I know there are metal strap locks out there but I've never seen a kit to actually install knobs in the first place. While I plan on buying a decent acoustic electric guitar one day very soon, I would rather upgrade this one for now if possible to save some money. This guitar has a small white knob on the bottom that could be used for the bottom part of a strap but I don't know what to do about the top.
