All right people friends and family lets try this choice..... If given the opportunity to take any one of these careers which would you choose and why? Also try to picture that this choice is a lifetime career 25 yrs+. Try and be specific in your reply. besides being specific helps you earn mopre coinage here also. HAHAHA. Okay.........Local Police Enforcement or Military Police.
I would choose the military Police as I feel if I was risking my life in the law enforcemnet aspect then Id prefer that I do it for my country not just my local area.

I'm not sure I'm willing to put my life in danger for either. As unpatriotic as that sounds and as whimpy as it sounds. I think I have a perfect job right now of raising my 3 kids, now in their teen years and wouldn't want to give that up for anything.
If I were younger and no children, I'd probably go military. Serving my country seems like a lot less selfish act then serving my community. Both are important and I applaud anyone who does either!

I would choose local police. They usually run on a bit more of a set schedule. Even if it was as a night shift police officer, at least it would be the same shift all the time.
Military police switch shifts too often for my taste, at least they do on the base where I live. Also, depending on where you are a mil cop, you might be out in the field for days at a time. Here, if you are out in the field, it's 3.5 days on, 5 days off. I wouldn't want to be away from my family that long. Also, it seems like most of the base cops I know here, don't really like it. My hubby HATED it when he had to be a fill in cop during an exercise (he's normally a mechanic).
I guess it just depends on which base you are on, though, and what your job is.

I think I would be in the military police. I agree with your reasoning, I think I would do the same for the same reasons. Although, I have much respect for our local law enforcement as well. It is often that they are over worked and underpaid!
