I know I'm not the only one on here who procrastinates. I mean, how often do you find yourself pushing something important off to do later, in order to do something more fun (or nothing at all) right now? I do it ALL the time with certain classes, and pay for it later. What do you do to combat your procrastination?

Ohh yes, I am very good at procrastination lol. Everyday I do push something to be done at later time. You can say I am a lazy person or I want to do the stuff what I really enjoy to do. Ofcourse I do have to pay for it later, but I have never learned.

I am one of the world's worst procrastinators, at times. My mother sometimes reminds me of how I would drive her crazy waiting until the last minute to do school projects. I don't actually remember waiting that long. I guess because it didn't stress me out, I didn't think much of it. It was just the way that I worked. I don't know how to combat it. I guess some days when you feel like you can't get anything done, you just have to force yourself to. That's what I'm going through right now. Heck, I love Mylot, but I'm having a really hard time working online at all. I Just need a good, long break. Oh well. wish I could afford one! *laugh*

Yes I too procrastinate. I find that I must make lists this helps to keep me organized and I get to reward myself in 2 ways first when a task is completed I get to scratch it from list, I love that. Second after so many tasks are completed I reward my self with a little online time. Then I go back to my lists. That is probably the only thing that works for me without the list I will put things off until someone complains about it. LOL

I procrastinate a lot and honestly, I'm lucky because it works for me. This is because I do things better when I work on them the last minute. When I was still a student, I would study for an exam a few hours before my exams, and I would even ace some of them. Now, as a teacher, I would prepare for my teaching modules, gradesheets, and exams at the very last minute. Well, this attitude is not advisable. The adrenaline rush just works for me. I'm not a good person to advise you on how to combat procrastination. You see, I should be doing my work right now instead of responding to your discussion. Hmmm..perhaps the only thing I can advise you is to be more competitive. Try to study with someone who is a hardworker. This person could move you to do the same, especially if you would try to compete for higher marks. You should aim for higher scores. If not for the motivation of a future goal, but just for the sake of being afraid to fail.
