Hackers

Hackers are definitely very common in the world of Maplestory. However as much as people want to get rid of them, they simply can't. It's probably close to impossible because as MS's security increases, the hacker's ability to hack also increases. Thus there is most likely a positive correlation between the smartness of the GMs and the Maplestory security to the ability of the hackers. Personally, I don't find it a game ruiner, in fact I do think that hackers are crucial to the game, economically speaking. Without hackers, prices of items would skyrocket. There would be nobody to control the price market. Hackers are only a game ruiner when they directly come into contact to me (for example, while I am attacking, a hacker comes in and sucks up all of the items on the ground.) I definitely don't mind if they seek out their own spot in deep ant tunnel, or somewhere where people won't go at all, and do their thing. In fact, I encourage it. It's not directly affecting me, and the only thing they'll affect is the prices in the market, nothing else so what's the harm? However, I definitely don't like it when they're out in the middle of everywhere in front of everyone and hacking constantly. It bothers me because they take all of my monsters and items and causes pandemonium in the mapling world.

I don't think people really understand how it feels to be a hacker until they become a hacker. And believe it or not, it is a whole different universe on the other side.

Well, I play in Windia, where people don't know whether or not GMs exist. Hackers are evident everywhere. They just add on to the game. It's annoying during events, especially when you're trying to get something. In the Lunar New Year Event, I think over half of the tickets I was supposed to be able to pick up were taken by hackers. It's extremely frustrating when you find an equip and it gets vacced. But now I'm used to it. I don't mind them as long as it doesn't bother me too much. If I'm going to train somewhere, the hacker could hack all day as long as he doesn't ks me. I won't report a hacker if i see them. Though they did prove to be very useful in cleaning up the Henesys Training Ground when it was full of chocolates. (until they started using item filter)

I hate hackers and feel they spoil the games. What real players need months to achieve, they can easily do in days. It's just unfair.

There was once when I was hitting big cats in the garden. That particular hacker did not even bother to stay by his keyboard. Normally hackers quickly change channel and run away when someone comes into the map. But for the one I encountered, cats were literally flying and hitting me, and I was there "shouting" at him and getting no response!

Of course I took screenshots, posted to forum and reported him but that's that. He may still be somewhere scot-free. I wouldn't know.

But don't bother getting mad longer than "necessary". If you want to play the game, it is a evil that you just have to ignore. No choice there.

i hate hackers. they ruin everything, but sometimes if someone is afk-hacking and they're killing everything but not picking up the mesos, i'll steal all of their stuff. i made about 1000 mesos from one guy that was gone for about half an hour. i also got 50 blue bubble things from the bubblings for free because someone was hacking and wasn't collecting. so it's bad but it still has its perks for those of us that actually play the game.

i think hackers are doing good to this game beacuse somtimes u can take thier stuff when they train Hehe and not all hackers are BUT some of theme are prety nice!!!

common hackers disappear whenever you appear in their map, it wasn't easy to catch them nowadays, unless they simply ignore you and continue to hack, if not, there isn't any means to report them

It all depends on what they re doing, i was training in pig beach when i got killed by flying iron hogs,which cost me alot of hard t o get drops,because i could n t reach them anymore,at those moments i would want hackers to catch unholy he##,but if they re not bothering me or anyone else for that matter i couldnt care less about them.
basically they are both good and bad, it all depends on who it is.in this case i keep it at Neutral

The answer really varies from different players. its because some players always want to impress everybody because they are very strong and can do the impossible thing to do. As for me hacking is simply neutral as long as it does not ruin the enjoyment of playing the game.

There really is nothing I hate more in maplestory than a hacker... Most of them have the nerve to call the legitimate players "no lives" because we play legit. Um, if they had lives wouldn't they not need to hack on some silly game? Hah.

I have never actually seen a hacker in scania although when i party my members tell me about hackers.
