Will MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS become a thing of the PAST with ONLINE SUBSCRIPTIONS

I currently subscribe to several magazine subscriptions but have recently learned that most subscriptions can be seen online and actually the online has more options than the actual magazine. Do you think the mailing of magazine subscriptions will become a thing of the past as the online world continues to grow??

I do believe it will come to a point where it will cost you too much to subscribe to them. I think they will make them, the price will be outrageous.

I think so also, currently now you can belong to several places without having a subscription to the magazine and still get everything that is in the magazine. Thanks for sharing~!

I think most magazines and papers will have less buyers as more and more uses the net. i myself think it would be too bad if they dissapeard all together. I surf the net every day, read alot of news online, but i think i'd really miss the actual paper or magazine. I think it's alot different reading the magazine it self. Its also easier to bring with me on the bus, the metro, to bed etc. I do think, and hope, the magazines and newspapares will be around for a while longer.

Yes, but what if computers become smaller to accommodate or needs on such transportation? they are already going that way. I too like magazines but nowdays find myself doing just the same online

I subscribe to several magazines and most (maybe all?) of them have online counterparts. I must say that while I enjoy the online portions, I would be reticent to give up my hard copies. I love to read both books and magazines, but the latter is especially nice for outings during which waiting is required. I almost always have a magazine in my bag and pull it out whenever I have to wait. With an online magazine this is possible, but not nearly as convenient. Inevitably the batteries in my pda run out mid-article! ;)

I think the old magazines will become history. Printing, paper, postage - all cost money and they can charge nearly the same price for the online version at a fraction of the cost.

I do not think they will be a thing of the past as I believe they will continue since you can not have a computer or online access wherever you go, like in a bathroom or airplane or other places. There may be a decrease in magazine subscriptions due to online subscriptions though. There are many people that are so used to magazines that they will not switch over to online access.

I can't even seem to read the magazine that I subscribe to. ha ha I don't think that they will become a thing of the past. Unless of course, laptops become the new accessory to every outfit and internet connection is free everywhere. Because I can not be in front of the computer all the time. And the times that I am waiting in the doctor's office, those magazines come in pretty handy. :)

Do I ever feel like the dumb one, I did no that you could subscribe to magazines online. I don't think you will ever completly see the end of a paper ,magazine. Alot of people like to read in the tub. It would be hard to take the computer into the tub. Plus it is nice to go buy a pool and read a magazine. People wouldn't want to take their computers their. But, on the other hand if people could print of a few articles to read at the pool or while they are in the tub, maybe they can be a thing of the past.
