Your opinions on POT

I just replied to a discussion regarding a teen smoking pot. I was wondering what you all feel about it. Things like do you think it is dangerous? Do you think it should be legal? Do you know why it is illegal (I do know but wonder how many do)?
All opinions are welcome but I will not tolerate flaming.
So lets hear it!

Personally, I think it should be legalized. There is so much of it out there already, that our country should at least be gleaning some tax from it instead of spending so much money trying to stop a problem that's already overwhelming.
