i never thought about it like that. i think it was something to do with his job. i think the doctor gave it to mark, that is how he knew to kill matt. alot of things left unanswered. i think it was leos baby too. i did not see the oscars last night i wonder if departed won? great movie, i have watched it 3 times.

I think he wanted someone that he trusted to have a copy, just as proof of what happened. Because even though he sent Matt Damon's character a copy, he could have easily just thrown it away. So I think he gave a copy to her and told her not to show anyone and then she would open it when he told her to so that he would have added insurance of the proof.
