I think the times during the 20's 30's and 40's were the beat for big band and jazz...imagine yourself sitting in a smokey speakeasy in Harlam and listening to hot jazz....
I love big bands. They can really set the mood. But then I'm a fan of jazz so a quartet would also be ok. Any favourites? I'm think Duke Ellington, Count Basie.
Ya, I like Ella, Charlie Parker and other stuff from those years...they seem like the golden years of music lol (i am a rocker too...) but i dont know, times were just different back then...
