Well, for school I played the viola for about one year. We only rented it, so I don't still have it, and even if I did I know that I wouldn't remember how it play it after all of these years, lol. But the instrument that I bought for myself was an electric guitar. The silly thing is, I still don't have an amplifier for it, lol. That's okay, because one of my friends had one that I used to use sometimes, and I haven't really played my guitar in years now anyway. But I did used to try to teach myself guitar chords. I never got very far, but there were some simple songs that I could play.

LOL. Your triangle reminds me of when my son was in grade school and he had a mean music teacher. Poor Devin was just given those wooden sticks to click together and the music teacher was always screaming at him. I wanted to go to the school and shove the stick into the teacher, lol.

Anyway, yes, I play acoustic guitar. I took piano lessons for a long time but would need refreshers to get it back.

Yes, my mother taught me piano, I went on to take lessons in school, and I can play drums, and bass guitar. I want to learn violin and get into ethnic instruments.

Yes I do! I play guitar, keyboards or piano and a little bit in drums. But among these instruments, I consider guitar as my best buddy. It's easier to learn than the other instruments. You know what? Way back when I was still 12, I was also a tone deaf. I couldn't really figure out the exact tone and tune of a certain song. Until I learned it pretty well. It's just a matter of practice. So why not try it? It's cool and it's fun! You would learn to appreciate music even more when you know how to play even just one musical instrument. :)

bless you, I was allowed the indian bells, the triangel and eventually the tamborine at school. I tried to teach myself guitar once but I'm left handed and the guitar was old and warped - it did not sound good. I would like to try again one day or maybe the drums, that'd be cool.

I used to play the guitar and the trumpet in the school band when I was in school. I wasn't able to continue learning either after I left school. I remember a bit of both still and hope someday I can get back to playing the guitar. I also played the drums occasionally in the school band. I enjoyed learning these instruments.

I used to play the recorder in the school band .. we won awards too .. !

And when I was little we had an old pump action organ that came out of a chapel .. I wasn't big enough to pump the foot pedals and play at the same time .. so I used to pump up and down like mad .. play a few notes .. then have to pump again .. I thought I was brilliant .. but it didn't take long for dad to take an axe to it and smash it up so I couldn't play it anymore ..

Yep, you and me both, I am tone death. I hated music at school because of a vicious bully of a teacher, I think the only thing I learnt to play that I was successful at was a tambourine! Not exactly a talent LOL. A triangle sounds good! I wish I could have played an instrument, but I've accepted that I can't, oh well, can't be good at everything!
