Burning of Dried Leaves

Can dried leaves be made into paper?what can we do with the dried leaves that have fallen off from trees? There are so many! It is a very usual practice in the Philippines to burn it, but I am very against that due to global warming. Any idea what we can do with those?

well not only it is about global warming but burning of leaves also causes a vast amount of air pollution , and the it emanates large quantities of harmful material into the air , also at some points it has been said to increase the hole in ozone layer .
