I picked that one thinking that if the game evolved too much, that no record would be safe. Should that ever happen, too many people would hold too many different records to dominate the game the way Gretzky did. | | | |

Never mind 11 consecutive 100+ assist seasons. Few players actually have 1100 assists.
Gordie Howe only had 1049.
Without looking it up, I would suspect that only Mark Messier and Adam Oates have 1100+ assists. | | | |
