|  as a twins fan i have come to favor the american league. but in the all-star game the games in the past have been distributed evenly between them. Which one do you think is better?

| | First let me start by saying you have a good deal to look forward to this year. It's a shame Liriano is out for the year. He might be as good as Santana. Naturally, having Hunter all year will make a significant difference. Like every year, I hope they kick the white sox right in the rear.
AL teams are definitely hitter heavy solely because of the DH position, which by all rights takes away from the game of baseball. NL teams have to rely more upon strategy and the small ball aspect. I do think the pitchers in the NL are better and that may be simply because they have one less intimidating batter to face. I like the NL better though, it's more like real baseball. Cubs are going to the Series this year! | | | | | | |

| |  The DH does make the ultimate difference. Although i do believe that the AL has the more dominant teams. Other than the Mets and Cardinals every team in the NL looks weak. Nearly half of every division in the AL have damn good teams. And the All-Star game results speak for themselves. Cubs aren't going anywhere this season. Go White Sox!

| | Another thing baseball fans seem to forget is the athletism of every pitcher in baseball. Of course none of them can hit like Manny or Pujols, but pitchers have been playing ball their entire lives, and they were forced to hit. Pitchers that are in the bigs were great hitters in high school and college. They had to be in order to get where they're at. But once they got to the minor league level, their talents were recognized solely upon the mound, so that's where they concentrated on getting better.

| |  I would say that the American League will win obviously because they have the yanks, both soxs, the twins, and theres got to be a few other teams I'm forgetting. It's a lot harder road to the world series in the AL than in the NL. Not to mention a few of our team don't make the playoffs that would have made it in any NL division.

| | Put the white sox in the cubs' division and they'd get murdered every year. Their offense can't hang with anybody in our division, and their pitching is sub-par at best. Kudos to the GM of the sox for letting their best pitcher (Garcia) go. | | | |

| |  The American league is way better, they have better pitching, better batting, and they have more veterans. The National League is filled with a lot of young guys who don't have as much talent and are just becoming better players. If the N.L. has DHs then, it would probably be more fair.

| | F.Y.I. There's been a total of 76 All Star games in MLB history. The American League has notched 34 victories. Uh, oh, that means the National League has quite a few more.
Also, the DH rule was enacted in 1973, and again as everyone thus far has agreed, this has made the American League better than the National League; BUT during this course of time the American League only has one more victory under its belt at the All Star Game.
AL = 17 vs. NL =16
