Put yourself in the Titanic...What would you do if you know the ship will sink?

I love the movie Titanic..I know most of you watched it already...I was just wondering though what would you do if you were in their position with your husband/wife and your children? Me,I guess when I ride a ship that big and will travel that long with my family I will make sure I got a life vest inside our quarters and maybe an inflatable raft we use in the beach where we can carry anywhere..I will put a lot of clothes on my kids and as well as with both me and my husband so if we fall in the icy water we wont get that cold.I will not stop where I am and try to save my family... I will try to get my kids on the boats they have ...and wouldn't wait until it is too late to have them put on a boat.If in case we wouldn't fit and they will only allow the children..I will be ok with that and I will have to try to save myself and my husband for my childrens sake...Atleast I will have more strength to save myself because I know my kids will be waiting for me...If in case they only allow my young ones on the boat I will try my best to save my other children...I would rather risk my life to save them all.

I had a 3 year old son and if the circumstances like titanic came I think my husband will be responsible enough to know what to do because he is a seafarer and it is our SOP that everytime we board a ship we really get to roam around and check for all major exit and to locate the best possible way out to the very high deck for the rubber boat.
I will really make it a point that my 3 year old son will be the first to hop in the rubber boat and for me and my husband we will find a way to be very close to the rubber boat and fiddle away from the sinking ship.
Titanic was a great story and I really love this discussion as well.

Thanks for the comment..It is right to know every possible way out on the ship we are boarding..We should always be prepared on this kind of circumstances...We may never know when something like this happens.

I don't have kids so it would only be me and my husband and in a case like a ship sinking, I would probably feel lucky to not have children at a time like that. It would be so hard! I think that if they didn't let my husband on the boat with me, that I would refuse to be separated from him. I would probably regret it later, or maybe not, I just wouldn't want to be without him at the scariest moment of my life. I'm sure most of the childless women on the Titanic chose to stay with their husbands.

Well, lucky you if you have don't kids on board...Yes I think I would rather stay than abandon my husband. I guess most of the woman in the titanic regretted that they have to leave their husbands on the ship while they were going to the boat..It is quite sad..I would never be contented with life then and would think about it always.
