well i've got a good friend he is single but for his kids sake he won't date anyone, I think he is in insane,he is about 40 and as friend he is a good and honest lad too,but i don't think this is right give up all his life and right for his kids,shouldn't they be happy for their dad/mum tobe happy too?i know he loves them too much but...i know a girl can wait to have a date with him and he knows it too but he won't date her.i just I wondered how many single parents are like him.

| 2. Willowlady (8982) | 3 years ago |  Dating is up to the parent. Only keeping the kids in mind. Relationships are a natura part of life and to quit living is plain silly. Children can learn so much be our example and for him to deprive himself of adult company is unfair actually to the kids.
Being single should last as long as it takes to become a whole and functioning person again. Urge your friend to talk with his kids and then go ask that lady out on a date. Dating is harmless. Just don't bring her home for fun until they are married. Another chance to learn the good ways of life.

But we can't blame your friend because i thinks he don't have any special feelings with other girls and he just wants to give all his love for his kids .
My father passed away long time ago and my mother had to raise me untill now, and of course i never want her date or move on with another man but i did recognize it's really selfish to keep her next to me everytime like that, and i let her remarried again.
So i think the children should open their mind and let their parents make another step because if they feel happy, they can live with us longer.
