1994 Chrysler Lebaron Serpentine Belt keeps coming off and/or breaks

I have a 1994 Chrysler Lebaron and I've had to replace the serpenting belt 3 times in one year. It has come off a few times and we just put it back on. Have any idea why this keeps happening? After looking through the Auto Repair Manual we have no idea what the problem could be. My boyfriend said he thinks it might be something going out. He thinks whatever it is has to be behind the lower left pulley, but the book doesn't show a picture of what's behind the pulley and it doesn't say what's there either. Please any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
