Did you think V for Vendetta was a good movie?

I love this movie, why, because the story is also happen in our country... Heroism and self-sacrifice for V and also for our heroes here in Philippines.

I LOVED this movie. The story was compelling, the actors did an amazing job, and V was a sympathetic character. The guy who played him did a great job of getting his emotions across even hidden behind the mask. The part where he let Evey go after her "test" and he realizes what he's done and he starts crying...Omg..that really hit me. And at the end when you could see some of the people who had died earlier in the movie in the crowd..that was just really cool. It was a movie that stayed with me.

it is a great movie, i own the dvd and saw it in the theaters about 3 times; first with my family, than with one group of freinds, than with another group of friends.
i want to get a hold of the comics.... about the movie; the similarities between what happened in the story line and the U.s. is remarkable... but the whole bird flu and americas war thing on the news took the cake.

i recomend "children of men" to anyone who enjoyed V.

I thought V for Vendetta was an excellent movie and upon the first viewing it became one of my "all time faves" and it still remains one to this day.

I found the movie to be politically charged without blatant name calling, action packed, and exceptionally compelling. Not only did the viewers watch the movie and hear the dialogue they were also forced to open their minds and think about what it was they were watching. THere were a number of themes and allusions that were made within the first ten minutes alone. By the end of the movie I think anyone who actually watched it felt a bit changed.

To top it off the actors gave it their very best and the effort they put forth in their portrayals was noticed and appreciated. I can never get enough of this movie.

This film is very close to being great. Instead I found it to be very good with moments of greatness. This is the 1st film of the year which really captured my attention and left me thinking after I walked out of the theater. A tremendous cast (Natalie Portman at her absolute best), an interesting and thought provoking storyline, and breathtaking visuals, make V for Vendetta the best film I have seen so far this year.

The storyline follows a freedom fighter known as V (Hugo Weaving), who opposes the iron fist rule of a tyrannical government in a futuristic Great Britain. Through a series of terrorist style attacks, a young girl named Evey (Natalie Portman) comes in contact with V and they band together in an effort to return hope to a desperate, fascist society.

The pacing of the film is excellent and there are quite a few thought provoking sequences involving dialogue as opposed to the typical blow’em up car chases we see in popcorn blockbusters. I am sure several people will draw comparisons to today’s governments with the state of current events in the Middle East as well as the rest of the world. For me, the film did a terrific job of balancing exciting action sequences with fantastic human elements which touched my heart. It’s important to throw out any Matrix-style (1999) expectations, this film has a much darker feel, and the mood is much heavier.

In my opinion this was without question Portman’s best effort as an actress. I found a few of her other performances good, but this was simply at another level. She manages to portray so many of the things that go through every young person’s mind today as they grow up in a country where tomorrow is no longer certain. Weaving also does a nice job as V, almost seeming to be a more poetic version of Batman at times.

Don’t get too caught up in liberal or conservative, you may take your eye off the ball and miss some of the true points of this film. A country without the freedom to express ideas is doomed to fail. Has the United States already reached this point? I don’t know the answer to that question, but I do know that V for Vendetta is a very good film that is well worth a trip to the theater.

V for Vendetta is a real life situation. Such egoism of governments and their peers are on the wrong track of reality. People gain power through the crowd. Thus, V for Vendetta proofs to us that long term governments are by far dictators!

i like how it portrays a realistic event, one that can perhaps happen in our world.

I think its one of the rare movies which maneged to create a delicate cross bread between a film and the theater.

It is by far one of the best films i have ever saw.

I thought it was a very good film.
