A lemon juice or vinegar rinse for hair, Is it really worth?

lemon juice and vinegar are acidic and anything acidic is not good for the hair. want to see the proof? then try it! and it ever it works then give me a message, i might try it too. but then again, i think that it is a big no-no.

A Lemon juice and vinegar are often quoted as good
hair rinses, but in fact neither can offer the
cosmetic benefits of a commercial conditioner.

Lemon juice may have a slightly bleaching effect
which can lighten fair hair, and vinegar is reputed
to enhance the color of dark hair but neither effect
is very significant.

Both being acid do help to remove soap scum, and in
the days when people use soap to wash their hair
it was quite a good idea. Nowadays thi quality is of
no use of no value as the detergent used in
modern shampoos do not form scum. However provided
neither lemon juice nor vinegar are used in excess
there can be no harm in rincing them.

Any acid like thing if you apply to your hair it is bad.
Because acids react on hair adversly and make them too dry.
The hair would loose their luster and shining.
In my opinion you should not apply these acids, the lemon juice and vinegar.
Just wash them with normal soap that is enough.

i m having long hairs and i use either of the 2, which ever is available that time, when i wash my hairs.it is really good and works.that is my personal experience.

I dont know about vinegar but lemon juice is good for hair It removes dandruf and gives shining to hair.

I've tried lemon juice to lighten my hair and take out some of the iron and rust form my water. Yes both of these are acidic but if you use them every so often they aren't that bad. after you use them though I would recommend using some sort of highend conditioner. Lemon juice does lighten your hair when exposed to heat. i don't know much about vinegar. It is bad for your hair to use these but if you only use them once in a while and use conditioner after then you should be ok.
