When my mom's house wouldn't sell after months of being listed, we heard that some people bury a St. Joseph figurine in the backyard to bring on a sale. I had to trudge through our local flea market to find such a thing. My mom's house sold in 2 weeks.
There's a certain way of burying it which is feet up toward the sky (heaven) and facing the house. If you live in a place without a yard, you can try doing this in a flowerpot.
After you sell your home, you should dig it up and display it to show your appreciation. I'm not really into religious decor, but ours found a good spot to live therafter. Good luck.

That's very interesting. We are thinking of putting our house on the market next year and I am sure we will need all the help we can get. Does one have to bury the complete statue without any of showing above the ground?
