Have you seen "fireflies"? I don't see them anymore.

They are actually little insects that emit a flashing light at night similar to christmas bulbs. I saw them a lot when I was a lot younger. The whole tree glows when they are around, a real wonder of nature. Unfortunately, the concrete jungle is not for them and they left the cities. Calling all nature consevationists, save the fireflies.
Do you have some in your country? Can you still see them around?

Fireflies are magical! I love them. I used to get them around a privet hedge I had in my back yard, but since I moved I don't see them where I live now. A few years ago, my husband and I rented a house for one night when we were out of town on a little vacation. It was in a beautiful place right next to a little lake and there was a treehouse in the back yard. We went up there to relax and looked down an the woods surrounding the house were just glowing with fireflies. It was a sight I'll never forget.

Sure, we have them all over in the summer evenings. But it's winter now and they aren't around!
