How do you interpret the 'Right to Bear Arms' in today's terms?

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution reads:
'A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.' What does this amendment mean in today's terms? We want to hear your interpretation.
