Sturdy Enclosures  

Maybe you could get a fence to fence in your yard to keep him in. Our dog Frodo sits on top of his house like Snoopy.

I suggest a sturdy fenced in area.At my old house my dad built a miniature house out if brick.It even had shingles on it.He put hay from our hourse in it.The dog loved it. Does you dog stay outside all the time? If he does you might want to invest in a kennel for your house on those hot summer days.My dog also busts chains and destroys the outside.He is a pitbull dalmation mix.But inside he doesn't touch a thing.Go figure.

Sounds like your dog is bored to death with all the problems your having. Breaking his cable, tossing around dog houses. If he's that strong and you have time on your hands, why don't you try breaking him to harness and pull stuff around the yard. I had a husky/shepherd mix that pulled 100lb. concrete blocks like she was going for a walk. I put a harness on her and used her like a farmer would use a workhorse out in the fields. She would pull small logs into the yard from the woods to make it easier for me to cut up, pull large branches to the firepit out back to burn, even pull my daughter in her wagon in the summer/sled in the winter. It tired her out and she was no longer bored cause she had 'jobs' to do. As for a doghouse, you mention cement. Get ahold of some house blocks...8x8x16" cement blocks and some morter and build away. Then build the roof like you would a house roof. Just make sure where you build it at is where you permanently want it. lol
