the goa`uld difference  | |  I just noticed that in the movie they make them more of a 'humanish' shape rather then a snake like thing. Any one else ever notice that? And the fact that Abydos was in a different galaxy. Wasn't it in the milky way in the series? Any one notice any other differences between the series and the movie?

The one I noticed straight away was the Jaffa that Ra has with him don't have pouches for larva goa'ulds. Another thing about the Jaffa I noticed after seeing the show is how few Ra had with him, in the shows dosens probably hundreds are on each ship yet he had only a handful. Plus in the show they never showed the big city on abados, whenever they went back people lived in tents. There are loads more I can't think of right now.

| | | 2. Oddworld (54) | 2 years ago |  Of course, the show was only based off of the movie. It was altered heavily. For one, all the Goa'uld speak English, whereas Ra did not in the movie. Personally, I like the movie storyline a lot better than the TV show. I like the Goa'uld as humanoid aliens rather than snakes. I'm also glad that they're finally making two sequels to the movie. They will be direct sequels and will have nothing to do with the TV show at all. Dean Devlin has stated that he'll be able to complete the Stargate trilogy the way he envisioned it.
