What happened to "When country wasnt cool"?

I miss the old time country music, Dont get me wrong I like alot of the country artists of today, but alot of them arent the "country artists" I remember. You dont find the sounds of the old Hank Williams Jr, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, George Jones or Loretta Lyn. The country music on the radios today is a cross between rock and pop. I mean we have Rascal Flatts, doing remakes of Life Is A Highway..Thats NOT country music. If they want to be pop artists thats great. But I miss country when it was country. Does anyone else see how all of our music is getting mixed together, and pretty soon we will have Snoop Dog on the top of the country charts..lol Am I the only one noticing this?
