Paypal, G-Cash, SmartMoney or Bank Deposit?

I prefer GCash for Philippine transactions. I'm not a regular ebay seller, though. But I sell online.

I am an ebay.ph seller. I accept GCash and SmartMoney payments. The problem with these two is that many scammers use these modes of payments, so some buyers tend to doubt sellers accepting payments through GCash and SmartMoney, especially if the price of the item is very cheap. But if you have a good reputation, your buyers will trust you. Bank deposit is more secure though there are bank fees and there are also scammers who use this mode of payment. If you are a buyer, the best thing to do always is to check the seller's feedbacks. Do not just look at the rating. Read the feedbacks and see who gave them. Sometimes the feedbacks are padded. The seller and/or his cohorts posted the feedbacks using other accounts to make the seller appear like a legitimate seller. And remember, if a price seems too good to be true, more often than not it is just a scam.

Well, both has its pros and cons. Paypal well, it isnt accepted here in the Philippines so that can be a problem. Although i have encountered some people who offer some special services to let you use their paypal account in the states via an agent here in the Philippines whom you can personally engage with and they deliver the stuff you bought from international sites.

Gcash and smartmoney are both efficient i think. They offer the same type of payment method which is over the counter payments with an immediate response text to keep you updated if you successfully sent the money. I would prefer this if only im not afraid of bogus names and stuff.

Bank payment could be the safest, to me that is because i rely on the bank to acquire as much documents reliable and real for that matter for people who set up their accounts. And hopefully when i send money to them bearing these and that information, i hope and expect its all real and i can have the option to trace them up if anything happens.

I sometimes sell my used things on ebay and I prefer Bank Deposit than G-cash & Smart Money because it's traceable through the filled-up bank deposit slips. Fortunately I haven't encountered a scammmer on ebay. Once I experience a customer trying to buy my stuff and wanted to pay via g-cash, but I want to be sure so I insisted to pay via bank deposit so both of us will have a proof of payment. Then she told me that she doesn't know how to go to a bank and wouldn't want anyone to go with her, that's when my red flag came up that she might be a scam. It's so easy to say that she already sent the money via g-cash and I might have lost the transaction message, so she could get the products for free.

As responded, I am a seller.. I guess the best for is payment through g-cash, I can directly checked and verify if the payment has been sent by the buyer.. The risk there is if the payment is sent to the wrong number, which is opposite to the bank. The teller can verify the account before you can deposit the money but you have to have an account that can be access online to be able to confirm the deposit.. I've never tried using paypal with my transactions here in the Philippines..

As a buyer, I definitely prefer paying for my items through bank deposit. It's safer than other money transfer methods.

I prefer gcash since bank deposits will charge if you deposit on their other branches. With Gcash you could the deposit anytime and anywhere wihout a surcharge.

Yes, I am an eBay.ph seller. I also buy on ebay.ph. My preferred payment methods for local buyers are Western Union Money Transfer, M Lhuillier Kwarta Padala, LBC Peso Pack and G-Cash. I also accept bank deposit payments. For international buyers, I accept Paypal and Western Union Money Transfer.

I've been selling stuff on ebay since last year. I actually have two payment options, gcash and deposit to bank account. For me it doesnt really matter what payment option the buyer makes just as long as she pays for the item. Most of my buyers pay through gcash though. I dont have any problem with that since i can receive the payment within minutes.

Hi there. I prefer G-Cash too since it's easy to confirm receipt of payment. Also, I have my G-Cash account linked to my BPI bank account so I could easily transfer funds from my G-Cash account to my bank account for easy withdrawal. I do accept bank deposits too, though. Paypal is for international transactions only, since Paypal processing fees are quite expensive.
