As far as Time-Travel/Alt-Reality/Wormhole Movies go, Donnie Darko has to be one of the best. There are so many out there it is hard to say which is the very best. I am starting a list. Please feel free to add to it. I am hoping there is one out there I have yet to see. The List: Back to the Futures - (we all know these) Donnie Darko - (Grandma Death is the best) Butterfly Effect - (a little too Hollywood but still ok) 2001 A Space Odyssey - (an oldie but a goodie) 12 Monkeys - (one of the best) Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure - (gotta love it) Ground Hog Day - (can cause yawning) The Jacket - (wow! what a movie) Contact - (with Jodie Foster - its also about alien contact) Planet of the Apes - (can't leave this one out) The Terminators - (classic fun) Time Bandits - (80's fantasy adventure - great one) The Family Man - (feel good kinda thing - warm and fuzzy) Frequency - (with James Caviezel & Dennis Quaid -excellent) Millennium - (Cheryl Ladd & Kris Kristofferson - loved it) Slaughterhouse Five - (Kurt Vonnegut novel put to film) Click - (Adam Sandler rules - another feel good but better) Peggy Sue Got Married - (silliness but still fun) There are more I am sure I'm forgetting.
