It is the story of a powerbroker, who suddenly is on the run from his own government and there are others who want him dead. The novel is another in a series of lame efforts from John Grisham. I still think his best was "The Firm" and "A Time to Kill" and that was some long time back.

Like most of his fiction it takes place in the south, Mississippi, and is centered around lawyers and legal cases. I am on the third chapter of the novel and so far I love it. It starts with a verdict by jury against a corporation then contrasts the lives of the parties involved. A great read so far.
