Could I get some help in buying a used toyota car? Whether I should look at the mileage or year?

You should look into a lot more than just the mileage and year. You should ask the seller a bunch of questions like did the car get oil changes as often as needed? (if it didn't the seller will probably lie anyways!) When's the last time he had to buy new tires? Does the car make any noises? Has the car had any trouble previously and what were they? Things like that. You should also get the VIN number and check it out online! That's the best thing you can do and also if they'll allow you to test drive it that would be good, too. The VIN number will provide you with details about the car such as if it had ever been in an accident and things like that. Good Luck!

I drive a 1990 toyota corolla. I bought it second hand. I'd say toyota really is durable and a low-maintenance car. But if you are going to buy one, you have to check everything though. Clean registration, engine number, chassis number. etc.. You have to look at the body too for some dents, misallignments and listen if the engine's noisy. If you're not a mechanic, bringing along one will save you time and headaches. Good luck.

There are so many factors which matter when you buy
a used car.I shall list few of them as below....

1. The most importent is the Engine condition, which
a mechanic or an expert only can judge, you need
an advise.

2. The user or the driver's nature of driving matters
much on the overall condition of the vehicle,
because rough handling cause an excessive
wear & tear to many bearings, parts, linkages
& external austhetic look too.

3. The "play" (unwanted loosning between the
critical points) if in excess with the stearing,
break & clutches would affect your vehicle a lot.

4. perticularly the plays on wheel axles can not
be checked precisly and matters while buying.

5. The milage is more importent to that of year
of manufacture as such but can not be forsook even.

6. You have to varify the reason behind it's selling,
that why the previoue wants to sale that car at all?

Simple and easy advise would be it's always better
if you buy a new car!

Wish you all the best for the car buying and a happy ride.

First off, welcome to myLot. You can have a lot of fun here and learn a lot too.

Modern cars are great. If they have been regularly serviced since new then 200,000 miles/300,000km are no problem so ask for the full service history when buying second hand and check the service intervals are all correctly stamped as having been carried out.

If the car has been near the sea then they are more prone to rust and they are best avoided.

Rips and tears inside are expensive to fix so the inside needs to be clean.

Finally, a good choice. Toyota is a very good manufacturer.
