A new study showed that women of child bearing age are not getting enough folic acid. Scientist are afraid that this is going to lead to an increase of birth defects. One of the things blamed on the decrease is a change in diet. Women who eat low card diets or only consume whole grains are not getting the folic acid that have been added to enriched flour based products. Do you think this could be an issue in the future, Many children with birth defects because of lowered folic acid intake?

I think that all people need to watch their diet. Everything has a reaction, so if an unbalanced diet is or may cause defects, then we already know how to curb the issue. The main thing is do people know and is it out there for people to find out.
