Black-Eyed Pea Fritter Sauce (Molho de Acarajé) Brazilian Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup dried shrimp
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon crushed dried hot red peppers
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger root
3 tablespoon dende (palm) oil
How to Prepare:
1.Soak the shrimp in cold water to cover for 30 minutes. Drain the shrimp and pulverize them in a blender or food processoer with onion peppers, and ginger root. Heat the oil in a skillet and saute the shrimp mixture for about 3 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and serve with the acarajé.

thank-you for this and the other recipe. keep them coming. You must be a marvelous cook. Do Brazilians eat a lot of shrimp? we are quite fond of it ourselves but being so far from the coast makes it a little expensive but oh so worth it. My parents live right off the gulf of Mexico so they get lots of fresh seafood, I will definately have to share your recipe with them.
