I guess there comes a time in life, no matter how tight you and your friends are, you grow apart at some time.
when I was younger, I didn't have big plans. Find a nice man, settle down, have kids, you know! live a good Christian life. My best friend at the time was definately into Womens Lib, equal rights, equal opportunity, planning on going to college Oh yeah! and, into the occult. We couldn't be more opposite, but somehow, we adopted each others ambitions, and everything changed.
She is the one who got married, and had a family, whereas, I pursued an education and growth. even our religious beliefs changed!
we talked about it for years after the fact.
ever feel like you accidentally switched your destiny with a friend?

yeah, isn't that weird? it was like we learned from each other, and then after 15 years, finally went our own ways!
I miss her friendship terribly, but our different lives were clashing horribly. we gotto the point where we no longer listened to each other, I guess. her huge money problems caused her demise, and I just couldn't talk her out of things such as buying a brand new truck, that was a gas hog, and putting them further in Debt. it is like they just stopped caring. And, she was extremely jealous of me, which I do not understand. I moved to a very fancy complex, and instead of being happy for me, she turned her nose up at me. then all she could do was tell me piece of crap her house was, and how she wanted to move into an apartment. (I think that was ridiculous!) Her and her husband defaulted on the loan of their house which they lived in for 10 years, and I haven't seen her since.
very sad! She had no reason to be jealous, breaks my heart!

My best friend and I have been best friends for over 20 years now and while we are still best friends, we have grown apart now. He got married and settled down, I got divorced and re-discovered my life. We have drifted apart over a period of time, yet we still fidn time to have long phone conversations. It does feel like we have sitched out lives though.
