What do you think about pipe smoking/smokers? As bad as cigs and cigars?  |

 I had a college professor who smoked a pipe. I loved the smell of it. And he looked so distinguished. I even tried pipe smoking myself briefly, but it wasn't for me.
What do you think? Is it more acceptable, since you don't inhale and the smell isn't so bad? Or is it just as bad as cigarettes and cigars?

| 1. smith21471 (71) | 1 year ago |  I am pretty positive that it may be worse than a cigarette, because of the fact that it doesn't have a filter, so it is worse for your lunges. Smoking is just a terrible habit and it will kill you! I am not being mean, I just wish that nobody ever smoked, because it is sooo bad for you.

While I agree that it would be good if no one smoked, some ways to smoke are less harmful than others. And pipe smoking has a certain "distinguished" look to it. | |

| 2. chacks123 (86) | 1 year ago |  I think Pipes are also as harmful as cigarettes. The reason behind it is the main ingredients in Cigarettes and Pipes is same Tobacco. So tobacco in any form is bad for health. It looks as if the smoke is not inhaled inside but a little bit of smoke goes into your lungs. May be Pipes harm slowly than Cigarettes.

| 3. mipen2006 (1193) | 1 year ago |  I tried the old pipe many years ago and found it quite pleasent, however it burned my tongue, so back I went to the Marlboros. Now I haven't had a smoke for over twenty years, and have trouble being near anyone with a cigatette or cigar, but strangely the pipe smoke doesn;t annoy me at all.
