GMA Network's strong when it comes to news and public affairs department. ABS-CBN was more concentrated and an expert in the field of drama and entertainment content. They both contemplate each other when it comes to overall tv content. I prefer watching them both and not being biased to a single station. But through my observation, as of now, I think ABS-CBN is slowly regaining its foothold again for the top spot in philippine tv, which may endanger GMA 7's 4-year leadership period. I think for me, being identified with president gloria nowadays is a burden for the folks at channel 7. They should do something with it, or else suffer the same fate abs-cbn got way back in the early years of the current decade.

For me, GMA-7 is better in terms of giving out great shows, especially with their news and public affairs department. However, ABS-CBN is better in managing their talents.

Compare to ABS CBN, I think GMA7 has LESS bias. In terms of quality of "soaps", I think I have seen enough. The plot is very predictive and unrealistic (both of them).
