RuneScape's Most Hidden Secret: The RuneScape Dupe 2
This is the real story of how the RuneScape Dupe went down.
When people are talking about the RuneScape Dupe they are referring to 1 of the 2 Dupes in
RuneScape history. One being the AutoRune incident back in 2003 where this person named
SixFeetUnder using the famous but non-functional anymore autorune program, he figured out how
to send commands to the RuneScape server ( Classic RuneScape, as we know it today ) to make it
so he had more items in his inventory. This player told 3 people and it got leaked - people
duplicated every rare item in runescape dropping the price of a pink phat the rarest from 15m to
500k in 1 day.
He dropped phats everywhere, he dropped rares everywhere - runescape almost even reset the
server back a week to reduce the outcome but decided not to because of all the trades that took
place and all the levels people gained. There was major backlash and alot of high levels quit
playing runescape because of this.

The player ended up telling RuneScape about the problem in trade for a unlimited membership and
a chance to be a moderator and official tester of RuneScape, but in the end he was banned and the
hole in the game was closed, you can find pictures all over the Internet.

Now RuneScape hacking isn't possible, the only real way to Dupe or hack RuneScape is to find
glitches in their system, people are NOT perfect and stuff happens even after testing, and in
testing new bugs are found in anything.
Take a new game ( any for instance ) that just got released, months before release the game is
beta tested by ( usually hired and contracted ) testers to make sure you dont get any bugs in the
game. Well in this case RuneScape tests new updates but when they are live new bugs are found, they
can't catch all the bugs and since this is a game where anyone can make huge differences if you
figure out a glitch you can become very rich.
Now the 2nd incident was hidden from RuneScape players.
This involved 3 people, some played huge roles and others played little, people were banned, and
people were furious but in the end it was all covered up billions of gp duped and almost nobody
knows about it.
Here's how it went:
Two weeks after RuneScape released the Player Owned Houses in RuneScape, Josh/Portal and Alex/Pplsuqbawlz figured out that if you had a high enough level in constuction you could Dupe money in the player created chest in your house; most of the people that found out about the glitch, later after the bug was closed thought it was a glitch where when RuneScape updated you trade or drop the money and it would be duplicated but thats not the real story.
The real method Josh and Alex used that people wanted to know so bad but was kept secret and was never told is below; After you put the money in the chest you had to get another player to open the chest and pull the money out in milliseconds of the money being put in, and logout and when the person that put the money in the chest logs back in they would still have the same money put in the chest and so would the player that took the money out of the chest. How this was found out blows me away, but it worked and both these people made BILLIONS of GP, duplicating billions of GP to trade real players for phats and rare items. To find the dupe Portal the person trying out the glitch lost over 400m in RS trying to perfect the glitch and when he was about to give up and didnt have any money left he tried again and it happened, and the glitch worked, that just goes to show you it takes alot of work to find a bug and or glitch in RuneScape. The people they hire to find glitches do everything he did and they find glitches but patch them before release this one must have gotten by them.
After Portal and Alex started buying all the rares they could find for any price, prices rose from 200m for a blue phat to 600m in about a few days, each buying almost all the phats and rare items like crackers and barrows in the game they had mule accounts holding money and cash, maxing out the games 2.1billion gp mark on each account.
The part where i come in was when one day Portal contacted me Juansito; Josh/Portal hired me to sell RuneScape Millions to anyone i can find; people on cheating community's; RuneScape Gold Selling Sites - We sold to anyone who wanted to buy for really any
price they wanted to buy for - He contacted me becuase of my high reputation everywhere im also
very trusted and everyone knows me, we sold billions of GP in little or not time at all -- we sold
them for 3USD each the lowest price in history for RuneScape millions he had so much money we
didnt know what to do with it, unlike the autorune he never told anyone about the dupe and the money just kept flowing People were overjoyed but that joy soon turned to anger when RuneScape found out about the glitch and started banning people left and right. I got banned, Portal and Alex both got every single account they ever had banned, people that traded us were banned, people that we knew got banned, people that had even 1GP of the duped money got banned. It was a nightmare after that, some people didnt get banned, others got refunds -- In the end all the accounts were banned, or where they? I don't want to spread rumors but in the end lets just say there were some phats, crackers, and a lot of items saved which jagex didn't find out about, its kinda crazy when you think about it, a glitch kept so secret as to not even be told to anyone by Jagex, no forum posts, no front page articles, no anything - because in the end we did a favor for jagex – They are all about making money dont get that wrong, they are just using you for your money - Jagex needed a reason to ban players to rise the price per RSGP and they did that when we brought all the phats and sold GP in RuneScape and they took that as a huge reason to randomly ban accounts; Which is the reason some of our friends accounts got banned.
So you never know, maybe they cut us just the tiniest bit of slack.
