How do you get more responses? / myLot

I have asked a few questions and don't seem to be getting much of a response. I know one of the questions was limited to people that had a specific problem, but the others weren't. Is there something I should be doing?

I think for our discussions to be popular, we need to know what people like to read. How we write it is also important. The readers must be able to understand quickly. So our posts must not be too long or boring.

I'm new here too so I/m not sure how it works entirely. On gather.com where I also write, usually you get posts from people whose articles you posted comments on.

I use Yahoo Answers as well which is an entirely different style of forum, so I am trying to get used to this one !! I try and answer posts from people on my "friends" list as I believe you get more $ if there are more responses. Not sure on that one either...lol
