Do you have a goal?

There are times I ask myself - what do I need to get what I want? The first thing most people would think is money. Of course, money is important, but... don't you think that the belief that money is the first thing one needs to get what he wants cripples us? I found that for me, and for many others I've been talking to lately, that kind of thought is a major setback. You probably ask yourself why... The answer is quite simple - we think we need money to get almost everything. According to that line of thought, we make ourselves believe we want only what our money can get - or maby a little more or less... Great things are coming from our dreams, but being afraid of disappointments we lower them to the levels we can get now, or the levels we now believe we can get (mostly, it is the levels our parents say we can get during our childhood...). Most people can't see it that way. You have to put a mirror in front of you - a difficult task. There is a training called "Humans being more", where you confront your deepest dreams and surface them above all prejudices and such. It makes you start thinking about making your life better... well, at least it changed my life this way. I've been to such training for the first time on september 2005. Ever since my life got a real big turn for good. I set my goals high, regardless of my abilities at the moment - I want to run faster? I'll just practice harder! The universe will do the rest... Good things comes to those who dream and act upon their dreams. Have a charming and happy day... Yonatan

My goal in life is to own my own home and be able to send my three kids to school. I guess all I really want to do is live and let live. I don't need a lot of money to be happy as long as I have what we need in our home we will be alright.

What do you do in life? Do you have what you want now?You set your goal, and that is good for wishing for the future. Do you have a home now? Are your kids in school? If your goal has been achieved, towards what do you aim now? All you want is to live and let live - that is a good philosophy for life. I tend to adopt it myself. Is it all you want? Wouldn't you like to contribute to society? To your community? Maby you do now, and that I is probably very appreciated. Don't you ever in your heart wish you could influence a little bit more? (If only I had more time to... for example?). About the money - money is hardly a goal by itself. Money is meaningless without a real goal you set in your mind. If you live only what you need, do you have a place\the time for what you dream? What I am trying to say is, that a goal should be a bit more specific - with dates and details enough for your mind to actualy see a clear picture of what you want. Another thing is that it shouldn't be something you have now - in my post I explained about that "trap". Why not aim for the stars? We might get only half the way, but wouldn't it be better than now? So I'll get back to my basic questions - do you have a home now? Are your kids in school? Do you live and let live and contribute? Do you live only what you need, or do you leave enough space to live what you dream? All of us dream, but not all of us are brave enough to admit it. (side mark) I do not mean to insult or harm you in any way. These are hard questions I ask, and confronting them is not easy, as I wrote in my first post here.
