NEW YORK (Reuters) - Cisco Systems Inc. said on Monday it has acquired software to create online social networking sites from privately held Utah Street Networks, Inc., the operator of Tribe.net. Utah Street Networks, which has seven employees based in San Francisco, uses proprietary software to create and maintain online communities on Tribe.net. This software will be integrated into the Cisco Media Solutions Group, Cisco said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
