Who is your favorite TV star of years past, that you don't see much of now?

Who are some of the TV stars you really liked back in the day, but now don't see much of unless you are watching an episdoe of "Where are They Now?" For instance, I really grew up with Candace Cameron (Bure) who was D.J. on Full House. In addition, I wonder what Fran Drescher is up to or what ever happened to Loretta Swit, from M*A*S*H.

Oh I go back a bit farther. I Loved Michael Landon from being Lil' Joe on Bonanza. I Loved Ward Bond on Wagon Train. And still the ever classy and still very handsome James Garner.:::::::Sigh and be still my heart.

James Garner is such a great actor. Presently, he is working on a movie and I'm sure I will watch it when its finished. Its a movie for the family, so I'm very thrilled.

Yes I very much loved him on "Highway to Heaven" It seemed that everything he did, he did well. It was such a waste for him to die. Thank you for Best Response I am honored.

generally, my favorite stars come from comedy. All time favorite is Lucille Ball. Not only was she great in front of the camera, but she was the driving force (and owner)of Desilu Productions which developed the three camera shooting technique. Mary Tyler Moore, Johnny Carson, Ed Asner, and James Broderick are other great stars. Asner for both comedy and dramatic roles, Broderick for his great acting on Family. John Travolta was great on Welcome Back Kotter and who can forget Michael J Fox as Alex Keaton on Family Ties.

Welcome Back Kotter, that was a good one. John Travolta could work a camera! But my favorite on that show was Horseshack. Last I heard, he became a very successful businessman.

I adored Michael J Fox on that show! I later met him at Yellowstone aprk, he was playing his real life role of daddy and i was so impressed with how loving he was and how he kept his kids in check.

Henry Winkler has been awesome. In acting, directing, producing. I'm a fan of his too.

Well I loved Lynda carter on Wonder Woman. I saw her renently on a Law and Order. Of course I also saw Betty Buckley (played Abby on 8 is Enough) on there. They have been getting guest stars from back then which I love to see happen. I haven't seen Scott Baio in a long time. I loved watching him in "Charles In Charge". Also the actors from "Facts Of Life" especially Nancy McKeon. I loved that show and the characters. I saw her do some made for TV movies afterwards but then nothing lately. I have to wonder what they are doing.

Did you see her in Sky High? She was great in that. She is still a beauty I agree and she can act. It would have been nice if she could have done more.

I don't think I've ever heard of 'Sky High.' I'll have to look it up.

Still today Lynda Carter is a beauty. Who can act! So I wish someone had snatched her up for more than just those TV movies of the week she did several years ago.

Daa, Naa, Naa, Nah, The Six Million Dollar Man. Lee Majors, A.K.A. Steve Austin, costs more than six million today. That is why you don't see him.

I see him now and then on commericals :) I loved watching it and the Bionic Woman. Of course a several years ago when I was grading papers and they were talking about Steve Austin it really confused me until I found out he's a wrestler.

Many of the stars I loved have passed away, I do not think you can get any better than Jimmy Stewart, I think that is why I love Tom Hanks so much, his acting reminds me of Jimmy. From TV, well, some of my faves are back, ie, Calista Flockhart and Sally Field in Brothers and Sisiters, which is a show I have grown fond of. James Spader and William Shatner, along with Candice Bergman in Boston Legal, which is presently my favorite show. I sometimes wonder about the cast of Carol Burnett, now that was a funny show! I too was madly in love with Lil Joe or Michael Landon, I loved him as Charles Ingalls too. What about Troy Donahue, whoa, he made my heart pitter patter, lol and I would love to see the cast of Dark Shadows!

I've only seen the Carol Burnett Show from Nick-at-Nite, but my mom has loved it for years. Tim Conway was a classic and his bits never get old. I remember Vicki Lawrence had a talk show about 8 years ago. They were all so talented.

We used to love watching The Cosby Show with Bill Cosby! I loved that show! We always laughed so hard, every single week! When I was younger, it was Little House on the Prairie... the other show that Michael Landon was in.... Yes, I liked Bonanza, and Touched by an Angel, but Little House was "my" show! I was the same age as Laura, so I always had dreams that she was my best friend. I always said I would love to live in that time period!

I have already mentioned James Garner, but another actor I enjoyed watching was Jack Klugman. He was on Quincy and The Odd Couple for many years. He has guest starred on many shows over the years.

yes, when you consider his entire body of work, he would have to be up there too.
