As far as food not sticking to them, they do work pretty well. I had some problems with silicon bakewear though- the loaf pan wasn't rigid enough, my load came out kind of blobby instead of perfectly square like it would in a metal pan, because the silicon pan flexed during cooking. And the cookie sheets are useless unless I put them on top of an aluminum pan so they don't flop over and drop everything. Having to use the metal pan with them makes me think it's a waste of money, I could just use the metal pans on their own, I've never had a problem with my baking sticking much anyways... All in all, I wouldn't buy silicon bakewear again.

Thanks for the comment. I was wondering the same thing. I bought an oven mitt out of the stuff and though it works, I really prefer the cloth ones. This stuff is just plain wierd and rubbery, lol.

The "Martha" says it works & she pays people to check that stuff out! Since I almost NEVER bake I'd never buy any - too pricy for someone that doesn't do it often enough to make it cost effective. I do know that if you are making a chocolate cake don't "flour" the pan, use cocoa instead.

I have the silicone muffin tin and yes, it really does work! I have baked banana bread muffins in it repeatedly and they don't stick. I haven't any other pieces so the muffin tin is all that I can vouch for. I got the one that also has the wire rack for support.

AT least I know that the muffin pan works! I have been dying to get them but I know that products don't always work like the company says they do . I might just try the muffin pan

I like to stick to stainless steell cookware and bakeware. It seems that many of the cookwere out htere is causeing health problems. They dont find it out till years later. So I am just sicking to the old standby. I love my stainless steel cookware. I have lifetime cookware. It is wonderful. Expensive but it never has to be replaced.

I don't mind using cooking spray(I use baker's joy),it's just that I really wanted to find something that distributed the heat. It drives me nuts when I take something out of the oven and it it dark brown in spots. I did have the bakers secret cookie sheets that distributed the heat but we through it away when we came down here.I want to get them again when we move back

I have quite a few pieces, thanks to an over generous husband. I love the muffin tins, but the square "pan" and the cookie sheets I feel are totally worthless. They cannot hold their form and they need to be supported. Both of those items have been banned to the closet where all the useless items go that were too expensive to throw out!

You are not alone with the silicon pans.I have had other ones complaining it doesn't hold the shape. Thought it sounded to good to be true

It works great. I have used the cookie sheet, muffin pan, and the other ones. They make it a breeze to get your baked foods out of and talk about a great pan to clean. There is no cleaning to it. All you have to do is rinse it with water. It is the greatest thing they have come out for cooking and be easy to do.

I don't know what to do. I had some say they don't hold their shape and some say they work okay.

It has it's pros and cons. Here's article that I wrote on Helium about it: http://www.helium.com/items/860589-silicone-bakeware-recent-newcomers
